By this time he had sunk at least 50000 GRT, including the troop transport ‘President Harding’ (with 16000 GRT) on the 14.05.1940 in the Schelde estuary, another troop transport (with 6000 GRT) on the 18.05.1940 in the Zeebrugge, and a British destroyer. He had also damaged another 10000 GRT transport in the mouth of the Loire on the 17.06.1940.
