Awarded for his wartime successes achieved as a bomber pilot over the course of 260 sorties in the west and east. During operations against England Kralemann would sink a 5000 GRT merchant vessel in the Channel during the summer of 1940, as well as fly on a number of special missions including the attack on the Chelmsford ball bearing factory on the 31.12.1940.
