Career:
In service at Wunstorf and followed the Flugzeugführerschule A/B Sorau (Pyritz). Following were the SFAR 12 and the Flugzeugführerschule A/B 12. After this he was placed wit the ErgSt.(Stuka) / VIII.Fliegerkorps at Kamenz and Lippstadt. Lannewers was then placed with II./StG 77, II./SG 77, I./StG 151, III./SG 77, II./SG 151 and 4./SG 151. He flew a total of 524 operational flights in a total of 1690. His first flight was on August 9th 1939 and the 1690th on March 16th 1945.
