Karl Maderholz was born on October 29th, 1885 as the son to Ferdinand Maderholz and Fanny Maderholz (Barthel). He married Maria Frank on May 15th 1911. The couple had two children, Ruth (September 29th, 1920) and Karl-Heinz (October 10th, 1923).

For his services prior to and during World War 1, Karl Maderholz received the Kgl.
