    Biography

    Dirk de Bruijnwent on 14th August 1944 from Rotterdam on foot South to join the Alied forces. He was able to make contact near Amiens on 1st September. After some work as interpreter and fighting with the British, he was to be joining the Prinses Irene Brigade from 1st October. After being send to various places he finally was placed as interpreter with the 15 (Scottish) Infantry Division, RHQ 119 LAA Regt. RA.
    He was killed on 26th March 1945 naer Bislicherwald, Germany
