Biography

He entered the service as a "reservist" as he was in Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

He was captured on October 6, 1944 and was interned in OFLAG 64 (ground Officers POW camp in Poland) and was part of the "Noted March" of over 350 miles in the dead of winter beginning in Poland on January 21, 1945 and ending in Southern Germany released at the end of April 1945.
