    Biography

    Cornelis Visser, pseudonym in the Resistance "Keske" was employed in the brushwood trade and therefore well known in the Biesbosch. During the occupation he was active in the Werkendam resistance movement. After the liberation of the Southern Netherlands he organized as Crossmaster Werkendam for the Intelligence Bureau the crossings through the Biesbosch to liberated territory. He himself participated in 12 crossings.

    Cornelis Visser is buried in family grave BH-02-03 at Kerkhof near the Laan in Werkedam.
