    Biography

    Mayol de Lupé (monsignor) was a Monarchist, "prélat" of his Saintety Pie XII, who was one of his friend. "Aumônier militaire", military chaplain of the "LVF" (legion of French Volonteers) in 1941 on the eastern front. Then military chaplain of French SS-division "Charlemagne" , under a waffen SS uniform.
    During summer 1944, he backed Général Puaud to found and regroup all French volonteers into one sole Waffen-SS unit. Arrested and charged in 1947 with 15 years prison, severely ill, he was released in 1951 and died in his home in 1955.
    He wrote "Un enfant d'autrefois" Librairie Académique Perrin" 1943.
    Worked with "Bulletin de St Mayol" from 1927 to 1936.
    Was on the frontpage of N°20 of "Signal" magazine in October 1943.
