Citation:
"For gallantry in action on 11 July 1943, near Biscari, Sicily. When his company and adjacent units which had taken positions upon a hill, were attacked by a number of enemy light tanks, Corporal Geiger unhesitatingly and in the face of heavy machine gun fire, armed with a rocket launcher, advanced alone down the hill to within 50 feet of one tank, fired his launcher setting the tank on fire, and causing the remainder of the tanks to withdraw. The rugged courage and alertness displayed by Corporal Geiger is in accordance with the high traditions of the military service."
