"During action against enemy Japanese forces at Saipan, Marianas Islands, on 20 June 1944. Lead his squad in an attack against a strongly entrenched enemy retarding the advance of his company, Corporal Frost fearlessly advanced thru a direct line of enemy fire and, boldly charging the heavily fortified cave alone, suceeded in wiping out the strong point and killing twelve Japanese troops."
