Fritz Wehmeier entered service on 1st April 1942 with the Luftwaffe in the Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 33.
On 6th November 1942 he was placed with the Flugzeugführerschule (C) 3, under the command of Oberst Walter Fruhner (and later Major Kalew).
He was placed in a Lazerett (for illness) suffering from Paradentoses on 26th February 1943.
On 24th September 1944 he attended courses at the Flugzeugführerschule B 2. Her he learned to fly the Focke-Wulf Fw 58 "Weihe" and Heinkel He 70 "Blitz".
The last entry in his Soldbuch is of 27th March 1945 and still unclear is if Fritz Wehmeier was a Prisoner of War.
Fritz Wehmeier died in his hometown Paderborn in 1971. From the marriage with his wife Lüise came one son.
