Biography

Generalleutnant Kurt Schmidt was the father of Günter Werner Schmidt., Gerhard Schmidt and Heinz Georg-Wilhelm Schmidt, (Born January 11th, 1923 in Celle).

During the First World War he received the Eisernes Kreuzes 2.Klasse and 1.Klasse, the Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz and the Hamburger Hanseatenkreuz.
