"Flight Lieutenant Culliford has completed, as pilot and captain of aircraft, numerous operations against the enemy in the course of which he has invariably displayed the utmost fortitude, courage and devotion to duty."

As a member of 267 Squadron, flew an unarmed Dakota from Italy to Tarnow in southern Poland and returned with parts of the V2 weapon along with a full range of technical drawings.
