    Biography

    Richard Field was born on August 20th, 1924. He was enlisted on July 27th, 1943 and served as Scout with the rank of Private First Class with 551st Parachute Infantry Regiment and 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was honorably discharged on October 26th, 1945.

    Besides his personal decorations he was entitled to wear the Presidential Unit Citation with oak leaf cluster, the Croix de Guerre, the Fourragere to the Belgian Croix de Guerre, the Dutch Orange Lanyard and received for his service after the Second World War the Army of Occupation Medal with "Germany" clasp.
