"For meritorious service in combat in North Africa, Sicily and Italy from 8 November 1942 to 2 May 1945. Frequently under hazardous conditions for extended periods of time, Corporal Camp directed vital traffic through critical intersections that were under constant enemy firewith great skill and dexterity, thereby contributing in substantial measure to the success of operations against the enemy. His exceptionally sound judgment and devotion to duty above and beyond the requirements of his office under conditions of great strain and stress reflects great credit upon himself and the Military Service."
