Johannes Kusters lived in the Dutch East Indies and was born on April 1st, 1895 as the son to Antonius Kusters and Petronella Maria Colen.
Head of the Dutch-Indian Radio Company (NIROM). When the Japanese found out the studio from NIROM in Bandoeng ended each session with the Dutch national anthem, Kusters was arrested on March 19th, 1942. Also radio emplyees Victor Daniël Kudding (July 25th, 1914 Poerworedjo, N.I.) and Nico van der Hoogte (September 16th, 1916 Paramaribo, Sur.) were arrested. In the Kempetai (Japanese military police) building they werd martered. Later they were transferred to Batavia and sentenced to death by a Japanese military court. They were beheaded in Antjol.
