He antered service on February 13th, 1942 at the Induction Station Lubbock in Texas. He left for Europe on April 30th, 1943 vertrok to arrive there on May 11th. Pattison was involved in operations at Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France, Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe. He returned to the United States on September 28th, 1945 keerde.
Jack Pattison was honorably discharged on October 5th, 1945 at the Separation Center Camp Fennin, Texas.
