Arthur C Jacobia was born on May 28th, 1921 in Riders Mill, New York.

He enlisted in the US Army on August 15ht, 1942. He spent 1 year and 7 months in the Continental US. Foreign service lasted 1 year and 9 months (India-Burma Campaign). Mostly he served in China. Tec 5 Jacobia participated in the famed and extremely dangerous "Over The Hump" USAAF cargo moving exercise from India into China. He was flown over the Himalayan Mountains in the "highest risk highest loss" airlift operation of WW2. Over 600 aircraft were lost. While in China he drove trucks loaded with ammunition, troops and rations under combat conditions. Tec 5 Arthur C Jacobia was Honorably discharged from the US Army on December 18th, 1945.

After military service he married Marie V DiCapua. They had 3 children. For years he was the Postmaster in Old Chatham NY. Arthur C Jacobia died on December 26th, 1975.
