Biography

Staff Sergeant Thomas Ignatius Potgieter (175705V) served in World War 2 in the South African Engineer Corps (SAEC), was attached to the Central Mediterranean Force (C.M.F.) and the 8th Army. He served in the 6th South African Armoured Division from June 24th, 1940 and was deployed in Africa (Egypt), Europe (Italy & France) and returned to South Africa on September 6th, 1945.
