Private Michl penned down a large group of German soldiers with a captured German machine gun holding the position for lengthy period preventing harm to his fellow soldiers. He wounded six of the enemy. During the engagement he was wounded but he continued to hold his position.
Later in the battle he captured nineteen German soldiers plus a ranking officer.
