Biography

McCafferty entered service at Camp Wolters, Texas on February 12th, 1942. He left for Europe on August 6th, 1942 to arrive there on August 18th, 1942. Shirey McCafferty took part in the fightings in Northern Africa and Italy. He left for the United States again on March 11th, 1945,to arrive there on March 24th. He was honorably discharged at Separation Centre Fort Sam Houston, Texas on June 19th, 1945.
