    Biography

    Raaby was a Secret Intelligence Service Officer during the Second World War. His radio work helped sinking the Tirpitz.

    After the Second World War he kept working as a radion controller. He was in 1947 part of the Thor Heyerdahl "Kon-Tiki" expedition. Worked as radio operator at Bear Island and from 1959 tot 1961 on the Island Jan Mayen. He died on March 23rd, 1964 during an expedition trying to reach the North Pole. Het was buried in Dverberg
