    Biography

    Charles Alexander "Alistair" Ogilvy was born on November 30th, 1915 and served with Fighter and Bomber Command during the Second World War. Before and after the war he played rugby and worked in insurances.

    He joined the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserves in 1939 and received his training at RAF Woodley. Later he served with No. 610 Squadron, as Flying Instructor at RAF Cranwell and with No. 622 Squadron. Only when his daughter researched his decorations and discovered his "BATTLE FOR BRITAIN" clasp, he was recognised for that and added to the Battle for Britain London Monument on July 26th, 2010.
