Recommendation:
He has distinguished himself in the face of the enemy by acting as the leader of an intelligence group in the Netherlands at a time when communication with England had not been properly established yet. He contacted agents sent from England in order to lay the foundation for a future importance military intelligence group. Furthermore he and a comparatively small team of co workers drafted excellent reports in trying and hazardous circumstances, in particular on coastal defense and the situation of the enemy in western Holland until he was arrested by the enemy and executed in March 1943. By his work he has rendered valuable services to the Allied conduct of the war and the Dutch Government.
