"Has distinguished himself by showing bravery against the enemy in his acting against enemy guerrilla's in the period from July 1947 until July 1949.
Especially as battery commander of a light anti aircraft battery, in which the personnel was tasked with the guarding of the airfields KALIDJATI, TJILILITAN, MAGUWO and MAOSPATI, showing ability as a leader, by keeping his troop on constant patrols in guarding against enemies who gave losses to personnel and equipment en through which vital information was obtained.
Through his doing the to his command trusted objects were kept safe from the enemy with only small losses to his own side."
