Albert van Ballegooijen was part of the Knok Ploeg (KP) of the resistance around Sliedrecht. Used the name Fred Olsthoorn in the resistance. Was involved in the raid on the Distribution Office in Sliedrecht. He also had several crossings through the Biesbosch to liberated territory to his name.
