Werner Heinrich van Doorninck lived in the Hague at the Riouwstraat 73. He was born on November 27th, 1914 as the son to Jan Adolph.van Doorninck (July 21st, 1879 - April 20th, 1951, Middelburg) and Gertrud Klara Barting (September 19th, 1883 - Auust 14th, 1979, Middelburg). He worked as civil engineer with the Dutch Government, He was a member of the resistance as part of the Inlichtingendienst (I.D.). He was arrested on June 8th, 1942 and transferred to the Oranjehotel prison in Scheveningen. Here he was imprisoned until November 13th, 1943. He then was transferrred to Haaren and later to Utrecht.
