"As Intelligence Officer, First Lieutenant Murphy was charged with the responsibility of searching, screening and segregating the thousands of Prisioners of War that received at the enclosure. With inadequate facilities and few trained assistants he nevertheless was able to devise a workable system. In one 36 hour period, he and his assistants processed 57,000 Prisoners of War."
