For having distinguished himself in combat against the enemy by courageous and tactful conduct, serving the interest of the Kingdom, in his capacity as Local Commander and later of temporary chief of staff of District 9 O.D. – Gooi, making the best use of his organizational talents. In September 1944 he crossed the front line to the liberatd south with an important task in the sphere of radio communications and with micro-films.
