"Corporal WALDMER J ISAAC 32836089 (then Private First Class), 355th Infantry, United States Army. For gallantry in action against the enemy in Germany, 6 March 1945. After alerting an armoured column of an impending enemy counterattack and advising the battalion commander of the situation, Corporal Isaac, disregarding his safety under heavy hostile artillery and small arms fire, manned the machine guns in one tank until the attack was repulsed. The conspicuous courage, agressive action and initiative displayed by Corporal Isaac saved a number of vehicles from destruction and are in accordance with the finest traditions of the military service. Entered military service from New York."
