The Baron Von BOETZELAER joined 330 Civil Affaires Detachment in BELGIUM during the planning stages for operations in Holland. During this time his able assistance and advice on matters relating to the Netherlands people proved the greates use to 330 Detachments and to the C.A. Staff of 1 Corps.
When the operations were launched on the Polish Armoured Divison was directed on BREDA he accompanied 314 Detachment and was early in the town, as soon as the town was taken he assumed his duties as Queen's Commissioner for the Netherlands Military Authority.
His work in the early days of the liberation of the Province of N. BRABANT was outstanding and I cannot speak too highly of the loyal assistance that he rendered to the British troops then, and during the subsequent months. His most able and wholehearted co-operation was of the utmost value both to the British forces and to hsi own countrymen."
