For his services during the First World War, Veit Fischer received the Ritterkreuz des königlichen Hausordens von Hohenzollern mit Schwertern (September 3rd, 1918) and after the First WOrld War the Scharfschützentruppe Freikorps Schwaben (April 26th, 1919).
