"During the period under review this Officer's Battalion has on many occasions occupied positions where the delivery of supplies and ammunition presented many problems due either to the extremely difficult nature of the country or to enemy action or to a combination of both. Despite all this Lieut (QM) HARVEY has never failed to effect delivery to even the most exposed companies and has never allowed the fact that he would be continuously in personal danger to deter him. In spite of many adverse circumstances his department has been run with a smoothness and skill which would have been rated highly even under peace conditions and the virtual certainty which existed in the minds of all ranks that come what may, they would get their supplies, ammunition, mail delivered to them had contributed very largely to the fine record of the unit concerned and its high morale."
Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)
