    Biography

    Friedrich Olbrecht was executed by order of Generaloberst Friedrich Fromm in the night of 20th and 21st July 1944, together with Albrecht Mertz von Quirnheim, Werner von Haeften and Claus von Stauffenberg, for their part in the attempt to kill Adolf Hitler and commit a coup d'Etat. It is not certain if the execution took place before or after midnight.
