Biography

He was born in Chicago, but in 1947 moved, with his wife and infant daughter to Cape Cod. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy as a second lieutenant. Orin Tovrov received a PHD from the University of Chicago, married Midge Schutz, lived in Cannes, France for about 4 years, and had two children, Jessica and John. He was a very successful writer, first for radio with "The Brighter Day" and "Ma Perkins", later for television with "The Doctors". He loved nature and played a crucial role in the establishment of The Cape Cod Conservation Trust. Despite multiple health problems, he devoted his later years to preserving the natural beauty of the Cape.
He is survived by his two children, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
