Member of the resistance at Nijeveen. Was arrested together with his son - Roelof Kooiker, in the night of October 22nd/23rd, 1944, when members of the Landwacht searched his house in relation to alleged resistance activities.
Both him and his son were taken to Diever and after interrogation transported tot the prison in Assen. The very same day, October 23rd, 1944, they were transported to Westerbork where both were executed on October 27th, 1944.
