"Lieut MISZTAK, with a troop of 17 pounder Shermans, was placed under command of 6 British Tank Regiment which was supporting 2 CARPATHIAN Brigade on 10 and 11 Apr 45 during its attack against the SANTERNO river. This troop destroyed enemy fire positions in area *** 280352, thus enabling our infantry to press forward. Commander 6 British Tank Regiment personally expressed his appreciation of Lieut MISZTAK and to Command 2 Polish Armoured Brigade for the splendid and daring way in which the troop was led during the cooperation with his regiment. He showed outstanding qualities of courage, leadership and initiative."
