Biography

Jaap Hinderink left occupied territory of the Netherlands at the age of 17 years with two friends. Finally he manages to reach Spain and from there the United States. Here he left for Canada to join the Dutch military forces. In 1943 he was trained for parachute duties and was dropped over Voorthuizen on August 29th, 1944 as agent for SOE. He left for the area of Twente to help organize the resistance over there. Operating under the codename HUNTING, Jaap Hinderink used the aliasses "CHRIS", "HARRY" and "MULDERS".
