Biography

Robert was born on December 26 1919 in Guelph Ontario, the son of Fred Milton Anderson and Irene Marie Anderson nee Richards of Waterloo Ontario. They were married on October 14 1918 in Toronto.

He was a cashier insurance and member of the United Church. His hobbies were collecting stamps and news heads and scout troops leader. His sports were baseball, basketball, team-track, hockey, swimming and fish raising.

He enlisted on June 5 1941 in Hamilton Ontario and he went thereafter on April 14 1942 overseas to the UK.

Robert was killed in action on Friday November 13 1942 age 22, just a month before his 23rd birthday due to a crash near Oostkapelle before or after an attack on Flushing. The other fallen RAAF crew member was F/O Charles A. Graham age 21 in grave D-12.

He served with the 105 (R.A.F.) Squadron Royal Canadian Air Force.
