"This agent, who is a mechanic, worked as a sub-agent in another organisation in France from January 1941 to September 1942.
On his return to this country in September 1942 he was trainied with a view to specialising in pick-up and parachute operations.
He left England in February 1943 on this new mission and started an organisation of his own exclusively to lay on pick-up and parachute operations. Al other organisations who had not sufficient experience or enough trained staff for organisations were helped by him.
In October 1943 he was arrested, but was helped to escape to another reseau. He continued his activities until February 1944 when he learnt that he was known to the Gestapo and being sought by them. He was nearly arrested again, and was shot at. He returned on an operation laid on by himself during March.
During the course of his mission in France his organisation laid out 25 Lysander operations (3 singles and 22 doubles) - out this total only three were not personally supervised by him.
His organisations also laid out 36 parachute operations (16 of which were successfully carried out - the others were cancelled mainly owing to weather). During the same year 52 passengers passed through his hands England-France and 58 France-England.
His organisations have brought out courrier from North ad South during the past year, and had it not been for his energetic work in the field we whould have been deprived of much valuable information for some months.
In spite of the obvious risks he will be running, he is shortly returning to France to pull together one of his organisations, which has not been giving the same results as when he was over there."
