Memory International War Museum

On the initiative of mr. Joop Staman a war museum was founded located in the building of the former library in Nijverdal.

The museum highlights different themes of the war from start to finish, with photos, text, life-size dioramas, armored vehicles, cannons, puppets, etc. Among other topics the invasion of the Netherlands, Operation Market Garden, the Holocaust, the Normandy invasion and going into hiding are addressed. A large bunker has also been reconstructed in which one can experience what it was like during the invasion of Normandy.
