The Munich City Museum contains a permanent exhibition about the Nazi-era in Munich. The museum is partly located on the area of a former Jewish company, Kaufhaus Uhlfelder, which was looted and set on fire by the Nazis during Kristallnacht on Nov. 9/10, 1938, to be expropriated afterwards. The museum also refers to this company on the outside. During bombing raids on the city in 1944, the building was severely damaged.
