War damage Voerweg
On the Voerweg bridge which connects the Valkhofpark with Kelfkensbos you can see war damage from the streetfights from Operation Market Garden. The wall shows bullet impacts. Soldiers from the US 82nd Airborne Division fought fierce here in September 1944 with the German occupiers to conquer the Waalbridge.
