Info board 75 Years Liberation WWII Retie

In 2019 it was 75 years ago that Belgium was Liberated by the Allied forces.
In this context, Tourism Province of Antwerp organized various activities related to the Liberation in collaboration with Liberation Route Europe. Together with the participating cities and municipalities, a themed brochure with local stories supplemented with photos was made. Information boards were placed at 48 historical locations, each with a local theme.

Theme info board Retie: Ten crashes

From 17 September, thousands of aircraft will come over the Kempen on their way to the Netherlands as part of Operation Market Garden. Ten of these planes are shot down over Retie.
