Memorial of the Resistance Ohain

Memorial in remembrance of ten resistance fighters who died at this location on 5 September 1944 in a battle with retreating German troops.
Joseph BEAUDART 20 years old - Raoul De CARTIER 19 years old - Arthur DENUIT 44 years old - Louis FORTON 19 years old - Emile GILSON 21 years old - Robert MASSAUX 37 years old - Jean MOMMAERTS 26 years old - Emile RYCKMANS 20 years old - Emile VAN IMPE 37 years old - Joseph VAN DEN BERGH 34 years old.
There was only one survivor of this tragedy: Louis VANDERBEKE 1914-1993.
