Memorial Crash Site Spitfire Vinkel
On the corner of Vinkelsestraat/Bleekeseweg is a monument commemorating the crash of a Spitfire fighter plane in 1944, prior to Operation Market Garden.
The pilot and Toon Ploegmakers from Vinkel were killed in the crash.
