Visitor Centre German War Cemetery Ysselsteyn

The visitor center, completed in 2021, is the central point of contact for all visitors to the war cemetery. In addition to practical information about visiting the cemetery itself, you can also ask all kinds of questions about the war dead that are buried here.

The new multimedia exhibition tells the history of the cemetery and also offers the opportunity to discover the stories behind the crosses for yourself. On the basis of various data visualisations, the visitor gets an impressive view of the special features of this cemetery and thus a unique insight into the German side of the Second World War in the Netherlands. In addition, our extensive database can be used to search for fallen soldiers and their life stories using various filters. Many accessible photos, documents and other personal items are linked to these life stories.
