Mountain Cemetery, Schönau am Königssee

The Bergfriedhof is a municipal cemetery. This cemetery contains the graves of special people.

- The grave of Paula Hitler (alias Paula Wolff). She was the sister of Adolf Hitler.
Paula is buried under her own name at the Bergfriedhof in Berchtesgaden.
In 2005 and 2006, a couple was also buried in her grave, who had maintained Paula Hitler's grave in recent years. The name of Paula Hitler has disappeared from the wooden grave monument, a wooden sign has been attached over her name with the names of the two spouses.

- Colonel James Barry Kraft fought in World War II and took part in the Allied landings in Normandy before becoming the first head of the Armed Forces Recreation Center Berchtesgaden from 1945. He loved it so much that he wanted to be buried there.

- Hans-Erich Voss was a German Vice Admiral and one of the last occupants of the Führerbunker during the Battle of Berlin in 1945. He was also one of the last people to see both Adolf Hitler and Joseph Goebbels alive before committing suicide.

- Ernst Maisel was a German officer during World War II. Maisel became known to the general public as the bearer of Hitler's ultimatum to Field Marshal Erwin Rommel.

- Rudolf Schmundt was a German general of the Wehrmacht. For more than six years during the Nazi era, from 1938 to 1944, he was chief adjutant of the Wehrmacht under Adolf Hitler, making him one of the dictator's closest associates and confidants.

- Magda Schneider was the mother of Romy Schneider.
During World War II, Schneider lived near Adolf Hitler's residence in Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden. Schneider was a favorite actress of Hitler's and she was sometimes his guest.
