Nożyk Synagogue

This synagogue was built in the period 1898-1902. It is the oldest Jewish house of worship still in use in Poland. It withstood the German bombardment of the city in 1939 and both the Jewish (1943) and Polish uprisings (1944). The building was used as a warehouse by the German occupiers.
