Perimeter Route Marker 7: Bakery Crum

This is a marker of the Perimeter Route. On this route you walk in the footsteps of the Allies who tried to liberate this region in September 1944. Follow the route and discover not only impressive locations and historical events, but also personal stories from civilians and soldiers who were present at these places during the Battle of Arnhem.

The bakery of the Crum family was located at 23 Paul Krugerstraat. During the battle, the bakery was in the middle of the battle between the British and German troops. The Crum family and some fellow villagers took shelter in the cellar.
